Lake Mead

( Lets see if I can hurry and do this post on my lunch break!)

May 6 thru the 9 Land and I packed up and headed down to Lake mead. I have never been there before so I was so excited! Especially to go to 80 degree weather. (at home it was in the 50's!) It was Landon's cousins wife's birthday so I guess it is a tradition for them to go there every year. (I didn't get any pictures of anyone else. woops...)

Me, loving the warm weather (but not the dang wind!). anywhere there is palm trees, I am happy! (wait, there were no palm trees by the lake, just in the town on the way there.)

Land showing off my parents little camper. that thing is 17 years old and it is in mint condition. Better then sleeping in a tent! Land better be grateful he got his favorite gourmet breakfasts every morning! He looks sweaty and greasy but its just sun screen. He burns so easily, me on the other hand, not so much. He didn't burn at all. His mom was so proud of me that I kept sun screen on him the whole time! I was like a psycho over protective mom chasing a little kid with sun screen!

when it got dark we noticed all thees tiny bats flying over us and swooping down close to our heads. it was freaky. so we decided to stop! it one landed on me I would seriously die

It was a blast but so sad to come home!

Lookey what I found!!!! Pretzel M&M's!!!!! Peanut M&M's and peanut butter M&M's are my favorite candy and I love chocolate covered pretzels. So thees new pretzel M&M's are soooo good! they are both sweet and salty. So you should give them a try.

lake mead post coming soon, whenever I get time. (I never ever have time lately!) right now I should be driving to Landon's softball game in Kaysville, but instead I am posting something about M&M's... ha ha ha I better hurry before he hits a home run and I'm not there!

Going to this beautiful place tomorrow morning for some MUCH needed R&R. Lake Mead is supposed to be in the 80- 90's, a nice change for how cold SLC has been. All I want is a tan. That's all. oh, and to catch a bunch of fish, and to have fun! so.... cya!

I am so obsessed with mirrored furniture! I think is is absolutely beautiful! when I get my own house, I will definitely have furniture like this in my bedroom! (and evry where else!) Check out this cool website here. It's not very "manly" but Landon better put up with it! Thank goodness he says all the decorating is up to ME!

First off, thees dang pictures are so out of order. Don't know how to fix it, drives me nuts! Any way, Landon and I went to St. George for the weekend. It was so much fun to get away. I thought it was going to be warmer, but it was windy and a little chilly. But it snowed in Bountiful that weekend, so I guess I can't complain. We did a TON of golfing. Landon got me clubs for my birthday last year. We have gone every weekend for the last two months. I'm not quite as good as Land, but I will kick his butt one day! ( ha, in my dreams! he has been golfing since he was 7, and me, um like 7 months! But I am getting pretty dang good though, so he better watch out)

This is Andy and Misty. Andy is Landon's cousin. we stay at there house when we come down. They are the nicest people ever. Thanks for always letting us come stay! We always go to the Olive Garden when we go down there. cuz it is Delish! soup, salad and a diet coke is my very favorite!

(don't mind my messed up face. apparently I can't get my eye brows waxed anymore because I now (never happened to me before! but thees last 2 months) get an allergic reaction. Plus, I'm breaking out all over like a 14 year old. how lovely)

This is Land's Easter basket. I got him a Cabelas and Jamba Juice certificate and some shorts and T-shirts and a ton of candy.

we did our baskets on Friday night because He got me some golf stuff and a private golf lesson (and NO candy. (which is good) he knows just what i like!) We did our baskets then because he wanted me to use my new stuff for when we went golfing. I guess when your older you don't really care to get your stuff early. (except for Christmas!) If I was little, I would be sad if I didn't get anything on Easter day.

We did a ton of shopping, lounging and golfing. and spent waaayyyy too much money! There is a smoothie place there called The orange Peel. I am obsessed. I went there every day! we need one here closer! I don't mind the drive to St. George or Las Vegas, but the worst part coming home is nephi to Lehi. Horrible Horrible Horrible. It seems like it goes on F_O_R_E_V_E_R!!!! I'm flying next time!
Oh then the night I get home it snows 5 inches!!!! good thing its starting to melt! I am sooo ready for warm weather!

So... January and February are just sucky sucky months. At the Ortho office I only work Mon - Thurs. But I have been doing that for over 6 years now and having Fridays off gets a little boring (call me crazy, 3 day weekends are getting old to me). My aunt Paula opened up Fire house car wash in Bountiful ( it was the old Bischoff's on 5th south). So I decided to work there as cashier on Fridays and Saturdays. (then in the summer when there is actually fun stuff to do, i will just work on Fridays). I love it. it is such a fun place to work. at the ortho office I am by myself all day stuck in a lab. I love it and couldn't ask for a better place to work, but I get lonely!!! I took the car wash job to have human interaction! (but then you get those annoying customers and I think 'what am I thinking??') It is such an amazing car wash. seriously, this place is awesome. Plus I get to keep my car spic and span, plus a little extra money is nice too.

So come in and get your car clean!!!!

life is so boring lately. I can't wait for warm weather to go out side and play.
I wish I had a cruise to look farward to like I do every year, but this year I have NADA!! So, Jan and Feb, please go by super fast!!! Im begging you!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! No pictures this year, sorry! This Christmas was a little bit different then the rest. My dad is a conductor for Amtrak (don't know if I spelled the name right, but it is the train for passengers that runs all over the US.) My dad has been lucky enough to be home every Christmas, but this year he got called out. So my family couldn't celebrate till Sunday, the 27. To a little kid, that could be a bummer. you already have to wait to long as it is! and your so excited! But I'm a big girl and I was okay with it;). But it turned out to be a good thing in the end because I got to have 2 Christmas's! one with land's fam, then 2 days later with my family. Christmas Eve we went to His cousins house and had dinner, Santa came for the kids, then the adults play a game with presents. I got a Snuggie. It's hilarious. then We went to his brothers house to get our Christmas PJ's! then went to bed.

This Christmas was awesome. Me and land spoiled each other. He gave me gorgeous diamond earrings! I told him I wanted earrings that didn't infect my ears cuz they are so sensitive. I didn't think he would get my real diamond! next best thing to a diamond ring, right? and he got me a sweet new golf bag to go with the clubs he got me for my bday, Juicy Couture perfume (smells soooo good) and a duffel bag for camping (its funny cuz when we go camping, I have this nice luggage I am so worried about getting dirty.) Diamond earring cost as much as our budget, so he went over, that stinker. but i guess its OK because...

I went over too! This was the best Christmas he has ever had. He wanted a bullet re-loader so bad so I got him one. and some dang good looking hats (he is a hat guy), a gun cleaning kit, underwear and tank tops, accessories for his re loader.

Then with my family, Christmas is such a big deal. My parents go way over board. I got an 32g iphone, 2 pairs of jeans (which i desperately needed!) North Face black vest, Nordstrom gift cards and a mini printer that prints out tiny pictures from your phone or camera. But we have to take that back because the quality isn't that great. and a Nixon watch, and other sweet stuff that no one cares about.

Im kind of sad it's over. this time of year I always get a little sad. But I am so ready for 2009 to be over. 2010 is gonna be a great year, I can feel it!! and I am so excited. But The excitement will be over when Jan and Feb is over cuz those months suck!!!!! blah, they are no good.

Sunday was the Green family Christmas party. The Green's are my dads mom side of the family. Sadly I never met my grandma Joann. Joann is my middle name and I am honored to be named after such a great woman. But this party was the best family Christmas party in the history of family Christmas party's! My aunt Paula has an arcade in her basement. So me and Landon played air hockey for a while. We are so competitive!!!! he kicked my butt. Then we both played with my cousins darling little daughter Riley who is 4 or 5 years old. She kicked both our butts! She kept saying, "I'm on Fire!" ha ha it was so cute. Instead of Santa, we had a MAGICIAN!!!! he was sooooo funny and he did some amazing tricks. I couldn't take my eyes of him. I have a bad attention span, but I was so into it. He made rabbits disappear and a dove appear! He was hilarious! I want my wedding at my aunts house. it's perfect for a wedding. I was showing Landon where we would get married, where the tables would be, ha I think I scared him a little bit. Maybe I was getting a little ahead of myself. but a girl can dream right???

I can't believe Christmas is in 10 days! I got most of my shopping done. last year I told myself that I will not leave it to the last min. I think I was still shopping on the 23rd. But this year, I'm a little early which is awesome. but next year hopefully I will even be sooner! Landon is going to be so lucky this Christmas! this will be the best Christmas he has ever had! I know he will tell me that when he sees what I got him. he wanted it more then anything! But I can't tell ya what I got for him!

I was at work today walking down the stairs outside and this darling 3 or 4 year old saw me. this is what she said:

Hi!

I'm going to see the dentist!
You are? is he gonna look at your teeth?
Yep! what are you doing?
I work here and I make retainers for kids teeth.
(she thinks real hard for a min)... Are you the Tooth Fairy?
No, but I wish I was.

That made my morning! It was the cutest thing ever!

Wanna know something really embarrassing??? getting pulled over/ having to deal with the same cop 3 times with in the last 3 weeks! yup, that's what happened to me. The first time it was my fault. I barely tapped the back of this guys bumper and put a tiny scratch in it. ( So glad it didn't do anything to my baby Acura. ) ya I deserved it because I do tend to follow to close and now I learned my lesson. So $120 fine and that's the end of that. Then, about 8 days after that incident, I was hauling butt down 5th south in Bountiful because I was in a hurry. I was going 50 and the speed limit was 30. Flashing lights behind me, and what do ya know? same cop! He recognized my licence plate, so he made a comment about the week before. I gave him my info, he went to his car, turned right back around and he said "ya know, I would of given you a pretty hefty ticket but someone was hit on their motorcycle so I have to leave to go to them, just don't speed." I would of had like 300 dollars in fines this week! So he let me off. I was sooooo lucky. It is so hard to not speed in my car. brand new cars just drive so smooth, I cant help it! but I am trying to be better.... anyway, last night I was on my way to landons and I was stopped at an intersection on 4th north and 5th west. all the sudden, WHAM! I got rear-ended buy a 16 year old new driver. It totally Jared my neck back and forth a few times and I had pain in my neck. The cops come, and you guessed it, the same stinkin cop! I have vanity plates, and you cannot mistake my car if ya know what they say. First thing the cop said was "not you again!" (at least this wasn't MY fault this time!) There are only 2 bolt marks from the other cars licence plate on my bumper and that will get fixed. (my car is indestructible I guess) So for insurance reasons, my dad made me ride in the ambulance and go to the ER just to make sure I was OK. What a night! I'm nervous to drive now! last night brought back so many bad memories from when I was in a horrible accident about 5 years ago (that accident wasn't my fault either). They had to use the jaws of life, had to have surgery, it was very bad. Good thing new cars beep if ya don't wear your seatbelt, cuz honestly, i doubt I would wear it that much. I just hope that if I am ever pulled over or something, it isnt that same cop!

I love love love a good healthy sandwich, toast, french toast, PB&J, But when ya add the 2 slices of bread, That can tack on up to an extra 200, to 220 calories! So I quit eating those things. Thank you so much Misty for telling me about this! This bread only has 45 cal per slice! and it is 100% whole wheat. Thank you Sara lee for letting me finally indulge in a sammich and not feel too guilty. I'm eating a peanut butter and honey sandwich at this moment! and no, I will not feel guilty!

Meet Landon.

I have been dating him seriously since the first week of July. I have known him for a few years, but never really paid attention to him. ha ha. But we started hanging out and hit it off! we have so much in common. we are always going camping, fishing, 4 wheeling, going to the gym, anything we do we have a blast. I love him to pieces. He treats me like such a princess and he is so caring. So hopefully I can keep this blog updated with us, and not just crazy random boring posts I have been doing!

Cant wait to rock my new Frye boots. My mom used to wear these when she was my age (like 100 years ago..he he) they were in style back then, disappeared, and now they have been back for a few years. So against my will, she FORCED me to let her buy them for me. I do not deserve them, but thank you mom! your the best!
